Music on the Plaza Concert Series at Travelers is an opportunity for local musicians to perform from 12:00-1:00pm at Travelers Insurance company in downtown Hartford.
Musicians will have a 60-minute time slots to perform outdoors on the Travelers Plaza.
Any musician or band who has at least one hour of material and lives within the state of Connecticut is welcome to apply. Priority given to artists living in the City of Hartford.
Musician Payment Rate: $200.00 per musician
Maximum band size: 5 members

How to apply:
- If you do not have a Submittable account. Click "Create Account" below
- Use Google Chrome as your browser to complete the application. Other browsers may cause problems in the application process.
- Musicians selected will be contacted by a member of the Greater Hartford Arts Council team to book their performance(s)
- One performance slot per musician/band will be granted
- Grant payments will be issued after each performance through Bill.com. If you are not registered in Bill.com, we will send you an invitation to create an account. This will enable you to receive direct deposit. Payment processing time can take up to 3 weeks.
Musicians of all genres are encouraged to apply.
Performances will be cancelled if there is a rain cancellation. Musicians will not be paid if they do not perform.
This form is to express interest in funding and partnership with the Greater Hartford Arts Council.
Arts organizations, individual artists and strategic partners may submit this form.
Funding and partnership are not guaranteed. Decisions about funding are made based on funds available, restrictions on those available funds, community needs, and connection to the Greater Hartford Arts Council's mission, vision and values. A more detailed application may be required if the Arts Council is interested in pursuing this partnership.
A member of the Arts Council's team will be in touch to discuss the status of your Interest Form. Before a partnership can move forward, the Arts Council requires a meeting via Zoom or in-person.
Please remember that building meaningful and impactful partnerships can take time.

Hartford Creates is specifically for events, arts activations, and public art that takes place in the City of Hartford. Completing this Project/Partnership Interest Form is the first step towards funding through the Hartford Creates program.
